Yesssssss! Try it! The cheese boreg is a gift from above! I can't even start to explain how good the boreg is. The cheese is light and so is the dough. You don't feel crappy after having it like you've eaten a ton of oil. And for like $2 you get a good sized piece of boreg that keeps you full for a while!

There is really no beating the value of this place - you can absolutely stuff yourself silly for $3.50.
Step 1: Cheese beorek
Step 2: Maneishe
Step 3: Satiation with pure fresh-baked warm spiced deliciousness.
Plus, between the steps you can hang out in their warm storybookish storefront feeling the heat waft off their gigantic oven and smelling the rising dough.
Everyone gets the lahmajune, but I don't think it's my thing. (But you should try it and see if it's yours - you'll only be out $1.25.) I have yet to try the spicy cheese beorek just because of how massive it is - but next time I'm in the mood for an entire loaf-sized cheese pastry, I definitely will. -

This is my go-to bakery any time I'm driving through Hollywood. Although they have lots of options for lahmajoon and byoreks, it's the spicy byorek that keeps on bringing me back. It's long, cheesy, and spicy, in a freshly baked bread. You must also get an Armenian Tan (yogurt drink) to go with it, as it makes a great combination. The location is also easily visible from Hollywood Blvd.

I love Taron Bakery! I used to always go to their Glendale location, but when i realized there is one very close to me in Hollywood, this is my go to spot now.
The parking is a little tricky, but usually there's always parking on the side of the building, or worst case scenario you can find parking on the street.
The place itself is very straightforward. You walk in, there is fridge with beverages on the side, mostly filled with the delicious yogurt drink (Taan) that comes in the red cap bottle (regular) or green cap bottle (mint). I prefer the mint flavored one, and the reason these are popular is because these pair perfectly with Lahmajune. You walk up to the counter and order from the very simple menu that's on the back wall which has the name, picture, and the price for every item. Prices are super reasonable, and the menu is pretty simple, not many items.
Now the food items...... obviously I come here for their Delicious Lahmajune (Armenian Pizza) first. The Lahmajune here is simply great. The dough is thin and when it cooks it's crispy and slightly chewy, the meat mixture topping tastes fresh and packed with spices and flavor. I always end up getting at least a dozen to share with everyone. Their cheese boreg and spinach boreg is also solid. My son loves the spicy cheese boreg, which is the same cheese mixture as the regular boreg (I believe it's mozzarella and feta mixture) but it's orange in color because of the added spice. The spicy boreg is double in size and can be shared by two people.
If you haven't tried these place and love Armenian/Lebanese food, this place is a must! I'll keep coming as long as their doors are open.
